Li Quanxia (Deputy Director of CPC Standing Committee of Changzhi City and Secretary of CPC Committee of Huguan County) carried out special research on the work of building Eight Spring Gorge into 5A scenic area on May 30th, accompanied by Guo Taiguo (CPC Standing Committee Member and Propaganda Chief of Huguan County), Li Jianfang (CPC Standing Committee Member and Office Director of Huguan County) and Zhang Zhiping (Deputy Mayor of Huguan County).
Secretary Li Quanxin inspected the Grand Canyon Tourist Service Center, the entrance and exit of the scenic area, the round-trip cableway and other places along the route. He made field investigation into some key contents such as environmental hygiene, basic service facility and traffic condition of the townships along the tourism route. Through field inspection, listening to reports and field exploration, he put forward specific guiding opinions on the work of key sections.
Subsequently, a symposium on the 5A building of Eight Spring Gorge was carried out and Secretary Li Quanxin had discussions with relevant units, township persons-in-charge and the management staffs above middle level of Taihang Tourism Co., Ltd., listened to reports on the progress, supervision and inspection of 5A building work, coordinated and addressed the issues and difficulties of relevant units during 5A building such as tourism transportation, signal at scenic area, etc.
Secretary Li Quanxin pointed out, “Eight Spring Gorge Scenic Area is the representative of the mountains and rivers of Taihang and the leading scenic area of Taihang Sector – one of the three major tourism sectors of Shanxi. 5A is not only a tourism brand but also bottom guarantee for the survival of the scenic area as well as the trump card for the future development of Huguan. 5A building has received strong support from both provincial and municipal levels. It embodies heavy responsibility as well as glorious mission. It will be an important opportunity for the development of the scenic area of the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain and for the tourism development of Huguan as well as a strategic opportunity for building the county and enriching the people. We must raise awareness, reach consensus, collaborate with each other, follow up with work closely and grasp key work firmly and well to realize the third leap in the tourism development of the Grand Canyon at our county.”
Secretary Li Quanxin emphasized, “Each village, department and enterprise relating to 5A building should focus on real practice and solid work, make clear about target orientation, adhere to responsibility orientation, compare with acceptance criteria, develop task decomposition document, make clear about division of responsibilities, fulfill responsibility at item, people, division, inspection and end levels, and do a good job of self-check, double check, cross check and supervisory check to ensure that no point is lost. We should adhere to issue-orientation and rectification-orientation, have a thorough grasp of criteria, make improvement through compassion, refer to criteria to improve weak links, grasp item by item and take precise measures. We should adhere to service orientation, delicacy management and delicacy service, and eradicate such behaviors as unmarked and unclear price and cheating tourists so that tourists can experience not only beautiful natural scenery but also the 5A-level service in terms of ‘food, accommodation, transportation, tour, shopping and entertainment’.”
“I hope that we pull together and make concerted efforts, strengthen overall concept and awareness of solidarity, foster ideological consciousness and action consciousness concerning 5A building, and achieve realization, responsibility and implementation in place. Townships and villages should strengthen the normalization renovation along the route in terms of road environment, huddling and misplacement, disorderly establishment and construction, inharmonious landscape, substandard hygiene, etc. All departments should govern the operation order and traffic order of the Grand Canyon and optimize the tourism environment. Tai Tourism Co., Ltd. should strengthen the integration and comprehensive management of culture and tourism, and improve the quality of tour guides. Each level should be a gatekeeper, assume respective duty and perform respective function to make respective contribution to achieve success with building and obtain the “golden signboard” of 5A scenic area.”
