Taiyuan, called Dragon City, was green and vibrant in May; the Worker’s Culture Hall at Taiyuan, Shanxi was full of bright stars at light and people gathered together at May 23rd. Literary and artistic evening party for the opening ceremony of Eight Spring Gorge Star Tourist Destination Series Presentation Campaign with the theme of “Affectionate Taihang Mountain & Gatherings at Eight Spring Gorge” was held grandly on such a passionate and wonderful evening. More than 1000 people, including government leaders at provincial, municipal and county levels, news media and professionals of tourism industry, participated in the presentation campaign. The campaign was sponsored by People’s Government of Huguan County and Culture & Tourism Bureau of Changzhi City, co-sponsored by China Broadcasting Network of Central Radio and Television Station and Global Yangguang International Advertising (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and undertaken by Shanxi Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon Tourism Development Co., Ltd.
The whole evening party started with the solemn and magnificent dance “Grand Chapter of Flourishing Age”. Li Ji, a famous host of CCTV, made a TED lecture-style presentation, introduction and display of the magnificent scenery of Eight Spring Gorge to audiences and guests at scene. As the leaders at scene pressed down the 3D touch screen together, Eight Spring Gorge Star Tourist Destination Series Presentation Campaign & Music Season started formally. A lot of stars such as Zhou Zhen and Li Yanfeng went up on the stage in turn and ignited the passion of the audiences at scene. In particular, Jiang Dawei, a famous tenor singer of China, came to the scene, sang the classic songs Where is the Road and At The Place Where Peach Blossom with his powerful and sonorous voice and pushed the atmosphere of the evening party to the climax. All people cheered up for Shanxi for the upcoming Second National Youth Games.
Li Quanxia (Deputy Director of People’s Congress pf Changzhi City and Secretary of CPC Committee of Huguan County) made a speech and summed up Eight Spring Gorge as “Five Goods”: good scenery, good climate, good transportation, good service and good policy. He passionately invited the people of Taiyuan, “The Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain is a great tourist feast that the nature has presented to the whole world. I wish that everyone can go to the Eight Spring Gorge of Taihang Mountain together with your children, family members and friends to take a walk and have a look in the natural oxygen bar, breathe fresh air, enjoy the scenery of Taihang Mountain, and feel the charm of the gorge, relax and enjoy yourselves and look forward to a better future. We wait for you at Huguan!”
At the presentation campaign, Cheng Kaixian (Board Director and General Manager of Taihang Tourism Co., Ltd.) read out the “Good Policies” in public. After hearing the six preferential policies, all the audience at scene cheered up loudly:

V. The activity of teachers touring mountain and river: Teachers with teaching certificates can enjoy the preferential policy of free gate tickets of the scenic area From September 1st to September 30th.
VI. Preferential activity for athletes touring Taihang Mountain: In order to cheer up for the successful holding of the Second National Youth Games in Shanxi, athletes who attend the Second National Youth Games in Taiyuan can enjoy the preferential policy of free gate tickets of the scenic area with their valid certificates (athlete certificates) from August 10th to September 30th; spectators for each game can enjoy the preferential policy of 50% off gate ticket of the scenic area with their admission tickets for each game.
