Flowers bloom in spring at Taihang Mountain and the Forsythia flowers of Eight Spring Gorge looks like a sea. The 1st Forsythia Flower Festival of Eight Spring Gorge & University Youth Students Electronic Music Festival, jointly organized by China Broadcasting Network of Central Radio and Television Station and Shanxi Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon Tourism Development Co., Ltd., opened grand ceremony at the Eight Spring Gorge Scenic Area of the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain and attracted the attention of over ten thousand tourists and several media.

Cheng Kaixian (Board Director and General Manager of Taihang Tourism Corp.) firstly gave a brief introduction to the highlights of the 1st Forsythia Flower Festival of Eight Spring Gorge & University Youth Students Electronic Music Festival and expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to leaders, artists, tourists and media friends. She said sonorously and forcefully, “We should “reform, innovate, be enthusiastic and press on” this year, benchmark the 5A building measures of Eight Spring Gorge and strive for new breakthroughs in such aspects of cultural excavation, tourism commodity and marketing.” She emphasized, “We will hold thematic cultural activity every month this year so that tourists can experience the essence of Taihang culture while visiting natural mountains and rivers and gain deeper experience of the magnificence and profound historical and cultural heritage of Eight Spring Gorge created by the nature over the past hundreds of millions of years.”
After innovation, coordination, environment protection, opening and shared development in recent years, Eight Spring Gorge Scenic Area has been determined by the CPC committee and government of Shanxi Province as the leading scenic area of Taihang sector. As national AAAA scenic area, national forest park, national geological park, national rock-climbing base, Eight Spring Gorge is known as “World Rare Gorge & Natural Oxygen Bar” and a new landmark for the tourism development of Changzhi City. “As the county flower of Huguan, Forsythia not only has extremely high medicinal value but also embodies the spirit of Huguan, i.e. tough, honest, wise and enterprising. The event this time combines abundant medicinal herb resources with magnificent and picturesque eco-tourism resources. It not only injects new soul into the spring landscape of Eight Spring Gorge but also adds background color to Taihang culture. Meanwhile, it has injected fresh vitality into the all-for-one tourism development of Huguan,” said enthusiastically by Zhang Zhiping (Deputy Mayor of People’s Government of Huguan County).
At the scene of the event, Peng Huajing (President of Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Painting) presented a piece of delicate and elegant works Forsythia Flowers to the opening ceremony. Ma Liang (the original singer of The Rest of My Life, a popular song on Douyin short-video network) sang affectionately. Elina, foreign popular beauty, performed passionate DJ show. Several professional rock music bands and the singers of top campus youth music bands went up on the stage in turn and brought shocking music performances... There were not only elegant painting masterpieces, soul-shocking ballads, beating heavy metal waves and passionate dances, but also golden sea composed of blooming Forsythia flowers on the surrounding cliffs, thus tourists could not only view spring flowers and play with pure springs but also listen to music and relax themselves when they toured the high mountains and deep valleys!
Cheng Kaixian (Board Director and General Manager of Taihang Tourism Co., Ltd.) was interviewed and revealed that two new programs, i.e. reversible tramway and low-altitude flight, were expected to open to the public during the May Day Holiday of this year. Besides, she explicated the characteristics x of Eight Spring Gorge Scenic Area, the specific measures of building national 5A scenic area, marketing, poverty alleviation through tourism and other aspects.
As the leading scenic area in one of “Three Major Sectors” - Taihang Sector, the Eight Springs Gorge Scenic Area of the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain has rich tourism resources, scientific management mode and good market prospects. The thematic marketing mode of tourism plus culture this time not only enriches the tourism products of the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain and promotes the brand awareness of the scenic area of the Grand Canyon of Taihang Mountain, but also significantly pushed forward the building of national AAAAA tourist attraction, poverty alleviation through tourism industry and all-for-one tourism development of the Eight Springs Gorge Scenic Area.
